New Families Selected! 1.1.25

It's certainly a Happy New Year for the puppies! They know which family they will be going home to in just over a week and they all have new names! Meanwhile, we're making the most of every moment as we enjoy this stage of puppy life!
Spruce is now Boba - going home to Astoria, NY!
Juniper is now Sandy - joining Dutch Haven Cockapoo Cody in Barrington, RI!
Hemlock is now Teddy - going home to Foxboro, MA!
Cedar is now Aslan - going home to Methuen, MA!

Holiday Happenings 12.14.24

Amy's Evergreen puppies have had front-row seats to all kinds of holiday excitement in our home. Baking, decorating the Christmas tree and hanging the stockings, Christmas movies (so far we've watched The Star, White Christmas, Noelle, The Naughty Nine, Elf, and Best Christmas Pageant Ever...), special guests, a Christmas craft explosion on the dining room table, and HOURS of Christmas music! The puppies are continuing to thrive in Amy's attentive care, and they'll be learning about the wonders of kibble when they get their first taste later this week!

Amy's Evergreens! 11.15.24

Amy is now one of our experienced mamas and once labor began she settled right in to get the job done smoothly and efficiently. Her sweet little pups arrived one after the other without much drama (though every birth is a miracle!)

These pups arrived as the last browning leaves cling stubbornly to the branches of our deciduous trees, so we've decided on an "EVERGREEN" name theme!

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder.
