5 Week Adventures - 3.18.24
Adventures come in different sizes for different sizes of puppies! This week's "adventures" include new sleeping arrangements, soft puppy mush meals (yum!), a new playpen area, walking further to go find the litter box, meeting more new people (including Grandma!), make-believe with Betsy, and some new types of toys. Amy's puppies are enjoying all of the excitement and sleeping heartily between each adventure.

Almost 4 Weeks - 3.11.24
Amy's pups are a big hit with my kids, and I hear numerous times per day, "Can I hold Amy's puppies?!" The answer is YES! The pups are snuggly, snuffly, and have sweet skunky-breath. We love these babies so much!
2 Weeks, Take a Peek! 3.1.24
With eyes and ears now open, Amy's pups are cautiously experiencing the next stage of puppy development. Their preferred spot is still snuggled up close to their mama's side, but they're happy to relax into our arms as long as we're warm and hold them close! Meanwhile, their noses and new senses are feeding them lots of new information and they're learning all the time. We're carefully ensuring that all of the lessons build a puppy paradigm where the world is a good place full of good experiences!

Sweethearts Arrive! 2.14.24
Amy decided Valentine's Day was the perfect date for her babies to arrive, and she welcomed them with the calm of an experienced mama. She's keeping the pups warm, clean, and well-fed, while gracefully and athletically leaping in and out of her nesting box with casual disdain for our efforts to keep her on a particular schedule. Since the pups are thriving, we're happy to let her take the lead!
One of my childhood favorite authors is Louisa May Alcott, and I read and reread every story of hers that I could get my hands on. One of my enduring favorites is "Jack and Jill", which has an appealing cast of characters. Amy's & Cocoa's litters coming just a day apart provided the inspiration and the quantity of names to do the theme justice. So I'm happy to introduce Amy's puppies! (In birth order - birth weights shown.)
