3 Weeks and Loving It! 2.5.25

Buttercup's pups are living their best life (from a 3-week-old's perspective)! Lots of warm snuggles with mom combined with basking under the heat lamp with siblings, and frequent (welcome) interruptions that involve interesting and entertaining experiences with the kids and their friends. They've opened their eyes and are experimenting with shakily standing on all four paws. They're all growing and developing right on track and cuteness abounds!

Phoenix - female with pink collar - 1 lb. 15 oz.

Hydra - male with yellow collar - 1 lb. 15 oz.

Hippogriff - male with red collar - 1 lb. 14 oz.

Buttercup Joins the Action! 1.15.25

Buttercup surprised us with an early start to her labor, but then didn't progress as hoped. When a few hours of care and home remedies failed to produce results, we brought her to our local emergency vet. They were able to administer oxytocin to kickstart her labor again, but when her pups seemed to be in distress, we opted to have her deliver via c-section. She has had a wonderful recovery, and her four healthy babies are quickly growing plump on her rich milk. She is very attentive, and they all are nuzzled and kissed constantly!

After much debate, we decided to continue the Mythological Creatures theme that Mindy started - especially because somehow we didn't have a Unicorn yet!
