The pups enjoy indoor play during these warm (hot!) summer days, then in the lovely evenings they come out to see the wide world! Among other things, they've experienced distant thunder, a warm summer sprinkle (we all stayed out to enjoy it!), freshly mown grass, and grass grown taller, the splash of the kids jumping into the pool nearby, and some rather drippy hugs. Over the next week to 10 days we'll really start seeing individual personalities emerge and we're loving every step of their development!

Indigo's puppies have opened their eyes and are adding two new senses to their repertoire: sight and hearing! We're being careful to provide gentle exposure to new experiences so the puppies don't get overwhelmed and overstimulated, while still helping them build a great foundation of confidence in their humans and curiosity about the amazing world around them! Pictures of the pups at this age are a challenge since they can't quite sit up on their own and often fall asleep mid-photo! But they're adorable anyways :-).

Indigo's puppies started their arrival at the same time as Joe and the kids were making their way to my niece Regan's high school graduation. These black and white beauties look like they're ready for a commencement ceremony, so it was easy to choose a name theme for them!
The pups are thriving and their mama is keeping a careful eye on them, making sure they're clean, warm, and well-fed.
