The Challenge of Posing Pups! 10.16.25
The pups are much more active, engaged, and interested in everything going on around them. It's a delight to see them taking on the world with such gusto! It does make photographing them a particular challenge these days though! The pups got fitted for "real" collars and the little dingle bells make me smile. They are also useful for locating the pups if one sneaks under the coffee table or sofa!

Sitting Up & Looking Around! 9.29.25
It's been a big week here for the puppies! We've added hearing and sight to our repertoire and are now experiencing whole new elements of the world! Little legs are growing stronger as we practice pushing up on them, and balance is improving enough that we don't just immediately roll over as soon as we're upright. Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) exercises are wrapping up, but gentle daily exposure to new sights, sounds, and smells is on the agenda. Life is good!

8 Days & Thriving! 9.20.25
We love hearing the contented little suckling noises, seeing the pups slowly roll over around their full bellies, and the little "growth spurt" twitches they make in their sleep. This is a sweet stage of puppy life and Obi is doing a wonderful job keeping her little family clean, warm, and well-fed.

Obi's Chubby Babies! 9.12.25
Obi is a slow and steady kind of girl, and that's how things played out as she welcomed this sweet litter of pups during the daytime hours on Friday. Taking time to carefully clean each new arrival, moving at a relaxed pace, all the pups arrived into a peaceful and nurturing environment. Four pups is an easy litter for mama to care for, and Obi has been very attentive and diligent while still maintaining a relaxed attitude. These pups are thriving, glossy, and content under their mama's expert attention!
The name theme from this litter comes from my happy childhood memories. The Care Bears were a colorful and fun part of my life growing up in the 80's. I had a Cheer Bear and my sister had a Funshine Bear, and we had a lot of fun playing with these characters. Their timeless message of caring, sharing, kindness, and friendship is just as valuable now as it was then and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of this opportunity to introduce my kids to the Care Bears!
