Getting so grown up! 10.22.24

The past 8 weeks with the Tintin puppies has been fun and busy and full of games and snuggles. I can't believe we're already looking at the last couple of days they'll be here with us before they head home with their new homes. We're going to miss these cutie pies but we know they'll be a wonderful addition to their new families!

Nice to meet you! 10.9.24

Tintin, Haddock, Bianca, and friends are starting to get more interactive and engaging! Their personalities are really starting to blossom and we're seeing their sweet and funny individualities come through. It's been a busy week for the pups; they've started regular trips outside for potty business, had a car ride into town to meet some new friends (including a bunch of kids!), had a little spa day, did puppy personality profiling, and got to meet their new families via video call! The days are full and fun for all of us!
Bianca - keeping her name, she'll be going home to Scarborough, ME!
Calculus - still available!
Haddock - his new name is Rocky and his new home is Fort Sill, OK!
Irma - newly named Winnie, she'll be going home to Boulder, CO!
Snowy - he'll be going home to Acton, MA!
Thompson - will be known as Harley by his new family in Lexington, MA!

Things keep getting better! 9.25.24

The Tintin puppies are starting to get really fun! They enjoy their daily playtime "outings" to the (washable) rug in our living room and are doing great with using their litterbox (with close supervision and some gentle reminders!) They aren't quite up for playing with toys yet, but are just starting to have enough balance on all four paws for invitations to wrestle with each other. Their teeth haven't erupted yet but we can feel them just below the surface. They have been outside a couple of times when the weather was perfect but only on our outdoor rug - introduction to grass will be coming up next week!

Sleek & Happy! September 11, 2024

The Tintin pups are almost two weeks old and their eyes are just about ready to open. But we couldn't wait to do some closeups so you can see each of the puppies as an individual. Some of the pups have a dot of paint on their head for our purposes to make sure we know who is who.

It's a litter! August 29, 2024

We have been coaching our oldest son Jack (now 14) in puppy midwifery, and this litter was the perfect opportunity for him to show off some of the knowledge he's gained. He watched over Porsche during her entire labor, even staying up into the wee hours of the morning with her as she brought these beautiful babies into the world with the ease of experience. The puppies are thriving under mama's tender care (and rich milk!) and we're so pleased by this basketful of blessings.

Since Jack was so instrumental in their birth, we let him choose the name theme for this litter. He chose a favorite comic book series - Tintin, by Hergé. We'll post individual photos soon, but for now, please welcome the 5 boys: Tintin, [Captain] Haddock, [Professor] Calculus, Thompson [& Thomson - haha], and Snowy, and the 2 girls: Bianca [Castafiore] and Irma!

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy.
