Look who's walking! 10.12.24
S'more's Pasta puppies have been looking around for two weeks now, and they started toddling a week ago. They're fairly well balanced on all four paws now, and they're starting to wrestle with each other (though they're still mystified by the concept of toys). It was a busy day at the "puppy spa" in our kitchen sink, as the pups were each bathed then snuggled dry, toenails trimmed, and a little snip around the eyes to keep the view of the world unimpeded. We wrapped up the day with a little photo shoot. Fortunately, we interspersed all of that activity with several naps and of course some snuggle time with mama. At the end of the day we had a pleasant puddle of happy puppies.

What a Dish! 9.25.24
We're still eagerly watching and waiting for when the puppies open their eyes (should be this weekend!) but in the meantime the whole little family is growing pleasantly plump and sturdy. Everything is going smoothly, they're all receiving daily Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and thriving and getting cuter every day. Life is good here!
A Pot full of Puppies! September 14, 2024
This is S'more's second litter and she delivered her babies like a pro! The pups were all born very similar in size (so no worries about a runtling, which is nice), they are enthusiastic nursers, and S'more is very sweet and tender in her care for them, carefully nudging them into better positions to get the best access to her milk!
Again playing off of mama's name, I was thinking about what I like "s'more" of...so the name theme for these puppies is PASTA! We have so many yummy options - Linguine, Macaroni, Ravioli, Fettuccine, Tortelloni, Gnocchi, Manicotti, and more... We'll assign a name for each puppy in the next day or two (these decisions are always opportunity for spirited debate in our family!)
4 boys - cream with white, apricot with white, apricot & white parti, blue merle & white parti
2 girls - medium apricot with white, light apricot with white
