7 Weeks Old, Tuesday, August 23, 2016

It's our last week with these cuties (where did the time go?)!  All the pups will be heading to their forever homes this weekend.  Today was their last photo shoot and their vet check - where all pups checked out healthy and happy - Dr. Norris issued them their NH Health Certificates!  Everyone at the vet office commented on how well behaved the pups were and of course how adorable they are.  :-)  Great job pumpkins!!

5 Weeks Old and Playing, Monday, August 8, 2016

At 5 weeks the pups are SO much fun!  They can run, play, wag their tails and are VERY excited to be out and about. My nieces were over and love to play and hold the pups - it was a beautiful summer day so we all decided some play time outside in the big back yard was just the thing.  The pups explored, chewed, chased and ran about for quite some time - but of course, at this age play time is always followed by nap time.  

4 Weeks Old and Getting Big, Saturday, July 30, 2016

​The pups are now 4 weeks and have started getting formula in addition to momma's milk.  This is always a fun and MESSY stage since they don't quite understand to stay out of their feeding tray - which meant baths for all before the photo shoot.  They have begun wagging their tails, waking when they hear my voice, and wobbling around.  Just one more week until families come for visits and select their pup.

2 Weeks Old and Eyes Open, Saturday, July 16, 2016

Bella's pups are growing wonderfully!  At two weeks of age they have started to open eyes and wobble around though they mostly sleep and eat still.  Since it was a beautiful morning with plenty of sunshine and not too hot, we opted for an outside photo shoot. We've also selected names!  Momma is from Kentucky, so we decided to name the pups after cities in Bella's home state.
Pup names (and meanings):
Cynthiana = moon goddess
Barlow = lives on the bare hill
Benton = settlement in a grassy place
Jackson = God has been gracious
Sonora = pleasant sounding
Inez = holy, pure
Bromley = from the broom covered meadow

Bella's Pups Have Arrived!!  Saturday, July 2, 2016

Bella's pups arrived a couple days early - Momma was due on July 4!  I guess her little ones wanted to be around for the Fourth of July celebrations and fun!  :-)  This is Bella's first litter and momma did wonderfully!  Labor was relatively short and Bella transitioned into her new role with such grace and ease.  Bella is now proud momma to 8 beautiful, wiggly, squeaky, adorable and always eating and sleeping little babes.  We have 5 boys (3 apricot, 2 black), 3 girls (1 apricot, 2 black).
