So Handsome! Friday, April 16

Fast-approaching 8 weeks of age, the #RoundTable pups are nearly ready to set off into the wide world to begin their important life's work: bringing smiles to everyone around them! Over the time that we've had them here, these puppies have been gently introduced to a wide variety of new sights, sounds, and experiences, with the goal being to teach them that novelty is nothing to be afraid of. With their best 2-legged friends at their sides, they are ready to bravely explore their amazing new lives and whatever the future brings!
Arthur - now called Leo! his first adventure with his new family will be his drive home to Mahwah, NJ! 
Galahad - will soon be headed home with his new family to Newton, MA - possibly named Ziggy!
Lancelot - can't wait to join his new family and start exploring the streets of Boston, MA!
Percival - will be joining his new family in Hampton Falls, NH as Mogul!
Lionel - now known as Milo! will be making himself comfortable in his new home in Cambridge, MA!

It's April! Thursday, April 1

It may be April Fools Day but it's never foolish to go all mushy over these puppies! These 5-week-old pups are so cute, so funny, so charming, we just can't help ourselves. And they love it - responding with wagging tails and lots of puppy snuffles and hugs when we baby-talk them.

Families are going to meet and select their puppy this weekend, and everyone is very excited about it! As we always say, there isn't a wrong choice between these handsome brothers! #RoundTable Puppies!

Lucky Puppies! Wednesday, March 17

Now three weeks old, Charlotte's puppies have entered the early toddler stage. Their eyes are open, their ears will open sometime this week, and they're starting to wobble around on four paws. They are SO cute and snuggly!

We decided these handsome brothers deserved brave, courtly, legendary names, so without further ado, please welcome the #RoundTable puppies!
Arthur - chocolate & white roan - King and head of the round table; the first knight among equals
Lancelot - black & white roan - greatest fighter of the Round Table, yet known for his intelligence, charm, and humor
Galahad - black & white parti - known as the "Perfect Knight" - perfect in courage, gentleness, courtesy, and chivalry
Percival - black & white parti - a knight whose purity of heart ultimately leads him to becoming Keeper of the Holy Grail
Lionel - black & white roan - boyhood companion of Lancelot, knights of the Round Table together, and co-adventurers

Winter Welcome! Tuesday, February 23

Charlotte has a new litter of beautiful babies! True to form, she waited until the wee hours of the morning to welcome these not-so-wee pups into the world. These 5 brothers were born hearty and didn't take long to get even fatter on Charlotte's rich milk! The chocolate & white is a roan, and at least two of the black & white parti pups are roan (more color will become visible as they get older). One black & white appears to be a true parti (not roan). And the final pup is undetermined yet. We'll have a better look at their coloring over the next few weeks. Puppies this little aren't particularly cooperative for photo shoots, but enjoy the puppy pile!

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder.
