We're ready! 8.29
Cocoa's cutie bug puppies definitely have a "ready to go" outlook on life! Want to play outside? - YES! Want to cuddle on the couch? - YES! Want to go for a ride? - YES! Want to try a new toy? - YES! Want to meet a new friend? - YES! Every experience is thrilling from their perspective and it's a privilege to watch and participate with them. They're coming up on their last week in our home, but soon they'll transition to all of the "firsts" in their new homes! YES!
Doodle Bug - will be joining his new family in Stoneham, MA!

Let's Play! 8.5
Daily snuggles as well as handling exercises (to grow accustomed to human touch) and stimulating (but not overwhelming) sensory experiences (different textures, smells, and sensations) keep these cutie bugs busy when they're awake, and sleeping soundly during their frequent naps! There's still a little bit of baby blue in these eyes, so it's too early to tell if any of the pups will have blue eyes in adulthood, but Cocoa does carry that genetic potential! We'll know in another week if the blue is here to stay for any of these pups.

First Peek! 7.20
Cocoa's puppies have just started to open their eyes (so they look a little squinty in these early photos). It's a big world out there! Over the next few weeks, we'll be teaching them that new experiences are exciting, people are trustworthy, and life is good! In the meantime, we're keeping it gentle and slow, with lots of cuddle time.

Cocoa's New Arrivals! 7.6.23
Cocoa is an experienced mama, but her extensive color genetics have kept us guessing. This time, she graced us with a gorgeous lineup of apricot pups, most with white markings. (Previously she and Chester have produced black tuxedo, blue roan, and light apricot pups!)
Our kids were excited about the Butterfly and Moth name themes for Porsche's and Amy's litters that arrived in June, so I guess it makes sense that they unanimously voted for this litter to be named for Bugs!
