Getting SO grown-up! September 5

It's hard to believe it was only a few weeks ago that these guys could barely stand on all four paws! They're active and athletic now and enjoy playing with their siblings as well as chasing Aunt Buttercup. Their stamina has really developed and they often play for close to an hour before finding a nice cozy place to take a long nap (preferably on top of a soft brother or sister!)
Daisy!
Poppy!
Sunflower!
Oakley!
Douglas!

We love playing outside! August 12

Cupcake's five little pupcakes are growing fat and healthy and strong. They love their Mommy so much! She gives them as much milk as they want and spends most of her time with them. They love to bounce around with Aunt Buttercup too - and she is so good with them! They have enjoyed playing outside in our beautiful late summer weather, and then taking long happy naps afterwards. This week they're having their first softened kibbles... and then getting baths!
Daisy - female, 3 lbs. 0 oz.
As the oldest sister, you might expect Daisy to be bossy. Instead this little buff girl (with white on her forehead and chest) has shown a very sweet spirit, and is one of our very best cuddlers. She stands up for herself if her brothers are teasing her, and is quite curious about the world around her. She loves playing with the kids or snuggling on the couch.
Poppy - female, 3 lbs. 5 oz.
Poppy may be the baby of the litter, but she's currently the biggest and the bossiest! She was the first to try munching on Mommy's kibbles, and is always head of the pack to try to escape from the whelping box or the basket. She is an adorable apricot with white markings, and her curiosity often sends us chasing after her.
Sunflower - female, 3 lbs. 4 oz.
Little Sunny is a beautiful buff girl (with white on her chest) who loves to play. She is one of the first to perk up when we peek into the whelping box in the morning, and will always try to climb out the door to follow Mommy. She gives awesome puppy kisses!
Oakley - male, 3 lbs. 3 oz.
Oakley is a favorite for his dramatic red-and-white coloring, and he's also a bit of a tease. He likes to pounce on whichever sibling is napping, with cute little growls and play barks. He also loves to snuggle, but is more likely to want to go exploring than stay on the couch.
Douglas - male, 3 lbs. 2 oz.
Douglas is our laid-back middle child, with medium apricot coloring and the sweetest little face! He loves to spend time with us, and will usually run right over to us when we call. He will plop right down and fall asleep on our laps.

Eyes are open, starting to toddle! August 2

All pups are toddling about a little, and we've heard our first little squeaky barks. They love their Mommy, but they're very curious about her kibble and will lick it if available! I have super grand plans to take cute awesome pictures, and then the puppies wiggle and ruin everything with their cuteness and antics! But here are a couple of each pup - we'll add more soon.

Welcome little ones, July 11, 2019

We welcomed Cupcake's second litter with Nico with great joy! Labor and delivery progressed at a nice easy pace and all during the daytime (which is lovely for us humans!) Cupcake and her five "pupcakes" are doing great.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. And we do love her so very much. Fondly, Sandy, Kittery, ME

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dutch Haven dogs. Our pup has been such a delight for the short few months we’ve had her. Everything about this process was amazing. Communication, answering questions, supplies, lists. Not to mention the love and care these pups get before we get to bring them home. My girl is an angel, she loves people. She’s friendly, she’s sweet. I couldn’t be happier. ~Heather, Eliot, ME

I am forever grateful to Dutch Haven Dogs for uniting me with my Gemma (Santa Clara) back in 2015. From our first conversation, I knew Dutch Haven not only had the knowledge of the Cockapoo breed, but also had the passion for what they do. They raise their pups surrounded by children who nurture them with all the love and cuddles! My Gemma is the smartest, most loyal dog, and she remains by my side as my best friend. Thank you Dutch Haven for breeding dogs with good health, temperment, and beauty. Huge shout out to you from us in CT!!! Christie, North Haven, CT

Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder. We were kept updated about our place on the waitlist, and photos were shared once our litter was born. My dog is very healthy and happy and I credit a lot of that to Dutch Haven being so reputable and caring of their dogs. When I get another dog, it will be from Dutch Haven! Thank you and hello from Dublin! Kristin, Dover, NH
