Flurry is now Halo and lives in Westborough, MA!

7 weeks and growing!

 A week away from going to their forever homes, and these pups are busy learning, playing, and growing each day! Outside is a favorite place for playtime, and we go out on every nice day we can!

Getting so Big! 2/2/23

The Winter Weather pups are growing in size and confidence each day! With every new sound, smell, experience, and daily handling, they are learning about the world around them and how to react to it. They are eating softened kibble with their new teeth but still getting plenty of milk and cuddles from mom, Daisy. Most nights, she has at least 3 puppies all sleeping around her or they all just pileup and she is kicked off her bed!

Peeking out at the World! 1.17.23

Daisy’s Winter Weather puppies are 2 weeks old and their eyes are almost fully opened! But getting your picture taken is hard work, so some of them couldn’t keep their eyes open. They are growing beautifully, getting ample milk from Daisy and plenty of snuggles and new sensory experiences every day! My four daughters are very pleased we each get our own puppy to snuggle for movie night! They also enjoyed making snowflakes for the photo shoot!

Daisy's Winter Weather Puppies! 12.30.22

We brought home Daisy as a puppy from North Carolina in the middle of some intense snow and ice storms and she had to learn to brave the unpredictable winter weather of New England pretty quick! It only seems fitting she would deliver her first litter in the middle of winter!  I am sure she will teach them to love the snow as much as she does now! Daisy is taking to motherhood beautifully, and we giggle when we see her hold up her paws so she won't step on all the new squeaky little pups at her feet!
We are loving the various shades of apricot and the sweet little white markings they all have! Ice (green), Snowy (blue), and Flurry (white) all have white paws! Can you spy the heart shaped spot on one of the girls?

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home.
