Belmont will be going home with Joe, Kristen, Rachel & Charlotte to Eden, NY!
Dover will be making his home with Mary Ann, Chuck, Dillon & Allie to Reading, MA! Soon to be known as Brody!
Bradford is going home to John, Christina & family in Saratoga Springs, NY!
Madbury is going home with Thomas, Tracy & Tommy, joining Kubota (one of Lucy's 2013 pups) in Coventry, RI! He'll be known as Pluto!
Rye (Smitty) will be joining Edward, MaryAnn and Darby the cockapoo in Broad Brook, CT! 
Bristol (Maple) will be going home with Ralph, Debra and daughters in Lexington, MA!

What a fun photo shoot at Destiny's house with all the puppies! Gracie was being a good mom (a little anxious about me handling the pups) and the puppies were just exuding cuteness all over the place. We decided it would be a good idea to put a little toy with each pup so we'd easily be able to keep track of which was who. As I mentioned, the pups are all named for NH towns. 
--Rye, male, green lego
--Dover, male, farmer
--Bradford, male, blue clover block
--Madbury, male, tow truck
--Bristol, female, mouse ornament
--Belmont, female, angel book ornament

Gracie's puppies arrived today, December 6, 2013!

4 boys, 2 girls! All in lovely shades of apricot with white markings! The puppies are thriving and Gracie is handling being a new mom like a pro. The pups will all be named for towns in New Hampshire! Photos should be up by early next week.

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder.
