All grown up, June 6

Kallie's pups will be 8 weeks in just a few days and joining their forever families!  My (Destiny's) boys enjoyed getting to play with the pups while Grandma (Mrs. Groen) and I did the photo shoot.  As you'll see, the pups - like children -could not resist getting wet and muddy. Ha!

Informal Playdate! May 15

The kids and I went over to play with the puppies today and I couldn't resist taking pictures of everyone! (If I'd known this was going to turn into a photo shoot I probably would have dressed the kids in something a little nicer than play clothes.) But we all had a wonderful time and the puppies got their first introduction to GRASS (to mixed reviews)!

2 Weeks (+1 day), May 1, 2019

Kallie's pups have turned two weeks and their eyes have opened.  They are adorable, and oh so chubby (a term of endearment in our circle)!  :-)  The pups will meet their families (from our waitlist) on Saturday, 5/25. Name theme has also been chosen:  Food/snack items:  Honey (f), Twinkie (f), Graham (m), Buckwheat (m), Biscuit (m).

Kallie had a beautiful litter of 5 apricot with white markings pups.  There are 3 boys and 2 girls.  Kallie is being a super attentive momma. She is quite proud of her babies and enjoys showing them off when visitors come by to see.
Destiny will be reaching out to families currently on the waitlist.

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. We absolutely LOVED our experience with Dutch Haven! My favorite part is that the puppies are so well loved by the Groen family before they are ready to go to their new homes. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder.
