Countdown to Christmas has begun and families have begun their countdown too (for taking puppy home)!

Family Visits, November 18

Families came to meet their little ones today.  Visits are so fun for the pups but also tucker them out.
Of course, after a nap (and charging their batteries) - they are ready to explore and play.

Fall In Full Swing, November 9

Madi's 3 pups turned 3 weeks this past Wednesday.  Eyes are open, they wobble about and they have begun to find their voices (though mostly used to express their concern if momma is gone from them for what they consider too long).  They are happy and quite chubby - guess that's cause momma is only feeding 3.  :-)  Families have been lined up for these little ones and will be coming to meet their pups next weekend.

Madi's Pups Have Arrived, October 18

Madi's pups have arrived!  Madi welcomed 3 beautiful apricto pups (2 male and 1 female).  Momma is doing a great job feeding, cuddling and caring for her new little ones.  Drew is my big helper when it comes to snuggling pups - so I decided to name them after one of his current favorite shows PJ Masks! Welcome: Connor (aka Catboy), Amaya (aka Owlette) and Greg (aka Gekko).

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. We absolutely LOVED our experience with Dutch Haven! My favorite part is that the puppies are so well loved by the Groen family before they are ready to go to their new homes. Lydia Groen is so thorough with her communications and so helpful! The puppy selection process was also very well done. And I was impressed by the evaluation that Lydia performed on each puppy to determine their personalities. I’ve also loved all the photos while we were waiting for our precious puppy named Birdie! Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder. We were kept updated about our place on the waitlist, and photos were shared once our litter was born.
