Summer Play & Socialization! June 26-July 10
In our last couple of weeks with the #TwinOlympian pups, we added lots of new and fun experiences. There was plenty of time for outdoor play, giving the pups a wide variety of sensory opportunities. They developed balance and coordination playing on the puppy playground. They learned more about canine interactions by playing with other pups (some younger, some older) and interacting with a number of different (approved!) visiting dogs. And most importantly, they were gently and intentionally exposed to a range of human visitors, being handled by small children (supervised of course!) as well as being introduced to unfamiliar adults.
The purpose of all our efforts is always to help prepare our puppies for happy, wholesome, natural relationships with their new families. We're so excited to hear reports of the #TwinOlympians thriving in their new homes!

This dynamic duo is two weeks old. And they couldn't be sweeter - the way they take comfort in each other's company is a pleasure to see. As they start to peek around through freshly opened eyes this weekend we can't wait to see how they start exploring the world together!
The twins know that two's company and they love sleeping snuggled side by side!
Twin Olympians, Friday, May 14
Milly and Anton produced another litter together and it’s the smallest the McLaughlin family has ever had! There’s no question these two will get more than enough milk and form special bonds with us. While still young, they’ll get this nurturing and nourishment, and then when older and in their early socialization stage, there will be slightly younger puppies from Birdee and Scout to play with.
The first to enter our world was Apollo, a chocolate parti, weighing in at 9.7 oz, around 4am. He was followed by his little sister Artemis an hour and a half later, a black parti who weighed 8.1 oz. These weights have long vanished, though, as eating came naturally and Apollo surpassed the 1 pound milestone at only 3 days old!
We’ve chosen #TwinOlympianPups for their ever-important hashtag, should they become social media posters with the other #DutchHavenDogs on Insta and Facebook! The McLaughlin kids have had slight obsessions with ancient mythology, so mutual consensus was reached in record time with no huffy tones or arguing!
