Euphrates - newly named Lola, she'll be a city girl, calling Boston, MA her new home!
Amur - now known as Sofie to her new family in Rockland, ME!
Darling - is going home with her new family to Plainview, NY!
Tigris - will be settling down with her new family in Arlington, MA!
Amazon - affectionately known as Chewie to his new family in Reading, MA!
Niger - now called Auggie and taking up residence in South Boston, MA!
Nile - can't wait to join his new family in Londonderry, NH!

Busy and Fun Day, December 7

I'm not sure how we are in our last week with these munchkins.  We've had a blast watching them grow and explore....and are trying to make the most of every day in our last week with them.  Today was a busy and fun day!

3+ Weeks, November 11

Oh my goodness, this age and stage is soo fun.  The pups are learning to explore yet they are still so cuddly.  They are finding their legs, starting to play with toys and each other and even starting to find their voices.  Today was another beautiful and warm day - IN NOVEMBER - so we headed outside for some fresh air and cute pics.

Welcome Little Ones, October 27

Noel welcomed a beautiful litter of 7 apricot and buff puppies on Sunday, October 18 (4 girls, 3 boys).  Momma delivered her first baby without any assistance (Tigris) and continued to labor and deliver without much assistance other than love and encouragement from Destiny.  Noel is attentive, gentle, and oh so proud of her beautiful babies.

Our current studies in History of the Sumerian Civilization (3500-2500 B.C.), the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Egyptian King Khufu (2600 B.C.) and the Nile river gave us our inspiration for this litter's name theme:  Rivers of the World.

Welcome:  Tigris (girl), Niger (boy),  Amur (girl), Nile (boy),  Euphrates (girl), Amazon (boy) and Darling (girl).

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. We absolutely LOVED our experience with Dutch Haven! My favorite part is that the puppies are so well loved by the Groen family before they are ready to go to their new homes. Lydia Groen is so thorough with her communications and so helpful! The puppy selection process was also very well done. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder.
