Headed Home Tomorrow, April 24

8 weeks tomorrow?!  The rain held off today - that means we've been able to play outside and have their last photo shoot outdoors.  Thanks again to Sue for the gorgeous dog bandanas! Sue is a DH momma of two (Cooper and Sophie) and works with me to get each litter a specific print / theme.  www.cooperlovessophie.com

Hangin' Out, April 23

Noel's babes go to their fur-ever homes in just 2 days!  We are enjoying every minute of snuggles and silliness we have left......I am so excited for their new families - they are going to love their pups - we sure do!
About the videos below:  The puppies were enjoying playtime in our living room with their normal "puppy" toys....until they came across the "momma bones" - game changer.  They thought the bones were pretty amazing.

Happy Easter, April 12

6 Weeks, April 11

After playtime outside and some lunch, the pups were tuckered and ready for a nap. Tyler and Reid wanted to be in with the pups and snuggle (though Dak seemd to still have a little bit of energy/interest in playing with Reid). Noel and Eevee's pups now closer in size, play together and sleep together.

5+ Weeks, April 7

It's another beautiful sunny ☀️ day - YEAH!  The pups have really been enjoying exploring outside.  They are playing on different surfaces (grass, leaves, sand/dirt) and playing with outdoor toys (balls, tugs and bones tied up for them to reach for) and different kinds of sights and sounds (balloons tied to string, children bouncing on trampoline right next to one of our outdoor pens, music playing on the outdoor speaker, birds chirping and flying by as well as peeper frogs chirping in the pond) and they are making "new" friends (playing with Eevee's pups).  Every day is a new adventure.

4+ Weeks, April 2

Noel's pups will be 5 weeks this Saturday.  They are enjoying exploring (playtime in their puppy pool and learning to get their legs under them on our hardwood floors) and playing with toys, though momma still is their favorite.  We love snuggles on the couch while reading or watching a show, and my boys may have even begun sneaking them into their beds at night.  😉  The kids think that's pretty fantastic, but so do the pups - their wiggly-waggy tails going a mile a minute.

A little blurry - but a cute action shot of Salomon trying to see which momma was walking by.

Doesn't take much activity before the pups are ready for a rest. □

Video below: All the mommas enjoy when the pups are in the pool. Very often you'll find them jumping in to check on the pups (as you can see Summer is about to - and as Madi did just after I stopped recording).

2+ Weeks ❤️, March 17

Noel's babies have opened their eyes!  I love being able to hold them and look into their eyes.  It's also neat to watch as now they not only smell to locate momma, but they can see her.  Noel is being a fantastic mother, nursing and snuggling with her babies. She enjoys us doting on her and her babes, but still prefers the other "ladies" in the house keep their distance.

Leap Year Babies! February 29!

Noel welcomed her first litter very late in the evening of February 29 - LEAP YEAR BABIES!  The pups are all shades of apricot (light to dark).  There are 6 boys and 1 girl.  Noel has taken her role of mother and protector quite seriously, not wanting to leave her babes for a moment.

Name theme chosen:  Ski Brands
Even with warmer temps and lots of melting snow around here - skiing is still on the boys' mind.  So, we welcome:
Fischer, Volkl, Maxel, Rossignol, Salomon, Elan and Bomber

What Our Clients Are Saying

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. And we do love her so very much. Fondly, Sandy, Kittery, ME

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dutch Haven dogs. Our pup has been such a delight for the short few months we’ve had her. Everything about this process was amazing. Communication, answering questions, supplies, lists. Not to mention the love and care these pups get before we get to bring them home. My girl is an angel, she loves people. She’s friendly, she’s sweet. I couldn’t be happier. ~Heather, Eliot, ME

I am forever grateful to Dutch Haven Dogs for uniting me with my Gemma (Santa Clara) back in 2015. From our first conversation, I knew Dutch Haven not only had the knowledge of the Cockapoo breed, but also had the passion for what they do. They raise their pups surrounded by children who nurture them with all the love and cuddles! My Gemma is the smartest, most loyal dog, and she remains by my side as my best friend. Thank you Dutch Haven for breeding dogs with good health, temperment, and beauty. Huge shout out to you from us in CT!!! Christie, North Haven, CT

Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder. We were kept updated about our place on the waitlist, and photos were shared once our litter was born. My dog is very healthy and happy and I credit a lot of that to Dutch Haven being so reputable and caring of their dogs. When I get another dog, it will be from Dutch Haven! Thank you and hello from Dublin! Kristin, Dover, NH
