Sight & mobility! 12.15.22

Scout’s Three Gift pups are three weeks old and almost 3 pounds to match! They’re starting to get their feet under them and are beginning to explore toys and objects placed in their whelping box. This week marks the start of their daily handling exercises and daily novelty items. The neighborhood kids are happy to help with both! They were also introduced to Auntie Elli (Mini Aussie) who interacted very gently with them. There's so much to discover in the world around them, from friendly Aussie "aunties" to enthusiastic human visitors to daily interactions with new textures, sounds, smells, and activities. It's a lot to fit in between all the naps, but the pups are already excellent at prioritizing and time management, so they make plenty of time for eating and sleeping!

Scout's Christmas Gifts! 11.24.22

It was a Thanksgiving Surprise!
In the wee hours of Thursday morning, one of our Aussies woke us up barking. We came to investigate and found Scout with her first puppy! The second followed quickly after we arrived, and then we waited for several hours for the third. All three boys are big and healthy, despite coming a few days early! We decided to go with a holiday name theme, with these sweet boys having been born on thanksgiving and will grow up during the holidays! Welcome Scout’s Three Gifts Pups!
