Time Flies when you're having FUN! 

And Scout's Secret Identities pups are F-U-N! They're loving the beautiful weather and lots of playtime outside with their people, visiting kids (everyone is a friend!), and of course, the happy troop of dogs. Grooming sessions, intro to clicker training, car rides, and more mean the days are just packed. Now 8 weeks old, we're confident that these puppies are prepared to start off life with their new families with their best paw forward. Best wishes on every path!

Bruce Wayne - is going to be little brother to Dutch Haven Luna in Beverly, MA!
Barry Allen - renamed Louie by his new family in Shelburne, VT!

Scout's Pups are Here! Tuesday, April 19

Our beloved Scout welcomed four perfect pups on Tuesday, April 19! Scout graciously began showing signs of labor early in the day and delivered her pups that afternoon with the same calm, steady attitude she brings to all aspects of life!

To our surprise and delight, all four pups are apricot boys! Scout is proving herself to be a wonderful mother yet again, and the size of this litter—not too big, not too small—is easy for her to keep up with while still keeping her busy!

The name theme debate was not too rowdy this time around, since we all love alliteration and superheroes. So, please welcome Scout's Secret Identities!

Having been Lab lovers for 50 years, our decision to have a small dog was not easy. Little did we know that Lucy would waltz into our lives and bring such joy, that it is difficult to imagine life without her. At 5 months she is a bundle of energy, loves people and dogs, and is intensely curious about everything, except big, noisy trucks. Lucy's transition to our home was made easy due to the care she received by Lydia of Dutch Haven Dogs. Murphy, the stuffed dog with a beating heart, came with Lucy, and can still be found each morning cuddled underneath her. Lucy has slept through the night all but the first 2 nights with us. The written routine given to us helped to get us through those first unknown weeks. Included in the pages of information given to us were tips about personality, behavior, and care. I remember Lydia telling us when we came to get Lucy, that she massaged the puppies' paws and ears daily so that they were used to being touched. To this day, it is part of my "loving" routine. Getting my dog from Dutch Haven was the best experience I could imagine. We got Dublin 6 years ago and I still think of the first time I contacted Dutch Haven to picking him out to bringing him home. The process was seamless. I happily waited 9 months for my puppy knowing he was coming from a loving, healthy family breeder.
